Firefighters were called to reports of a fire that was out of control in Scarborough last night.
A crew from Scarborough, alerted at 6.56pm, helped the occupier control the fire in Newby and gave advice.
Later in the evening, at 7.27pm, a crew from Scarborough were called to reports of a bonfire on a cycle path.
The crews found a small fire in the open and left it to burn out.
