Scarborough Saturday League Division Two pacesetters Itis Itis Rovers stretched their lead to five points after a second-half blitz saw them win 6-0 at home to FC Rosette.

Neither side could break through in a goalless first half, but the arrival of player-boss Mikey Barker at half-time turned the game in the hosts' favour.

Striker Barker came on for Liam Vasey for the second half, Curtis Rose opening the scoring, Liam Buglass making it 2-0 and Barker adding the third with his first touch of the game.

Man of the match Rose then struck a second to seal the win for Rovers, Barker smashing home another two goals to complete his hat-trick.

Rovers are now five points clear of second-placed Scalby, with the leaders having a game in hand on the villagers.

Ayton and Cayton shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Wilson's Lane.

The home side went 1-0 up thanks to a smart Ian Laing finish from the edge of the penalty area, but Cayton levelled on the half-hour mark through Ryan Jones.

Tom Varey restored Ayton's lead with a thunderbolt of a shot from 25 yards in the 50th minute, but Cayton made it 2-2 thanks to a close-range Luke Foster effort.

Player-boss Sean Pinder then made a series of fine saves for Ayton while at the other end Tyler Beck spurned a couple of chances to put Ayton in front again.

Ayton's star men were Wayne Chamberlain and Jaymaine White.
