Leaders Bridlington Rovers 1903 sink Robin to boost East Riding County League Division Three title challenge

Bridlington Rovers 1903 maintained their grip on the leadership of the Right Car East Riding County Football League third division with a 3-0 home victory against Robin FC on Saturday afternoon.

"In what was a tough game, especially early on, we rode our luck at times and our goalkeeper Josh Wilshire made some fine saves in the first half to keep us in the game.

"Once we got ourselves in front we created other chances and ran out worthy winners in the end.

"It was a great three points to finish our home campaign. We now have five cup finals remaining, all away, as we aim to secure promotion to the second division.”

Brid Rovers 1903 head to Wareham Forest this Saturday.

Cam Connelly smashed in five goals as Bridlington Town Rovers maintained top spot in the Premiership on goal difference with an 8-3 win at Great Driffield Rovers.

Ashton Dowson, Kieran Jordan and Archie Brown also netted for the visitors.

Austen Wiles and Billy Tyler banged in a hat-trick apiece as Bridlington Rovers Millau kept their Championship title challenge on track with a 6-1 win at Leven MC.

Millau make the trip to tackle third-placed AFC Bilton this coming Saturday.

A Tom Coates brace helped Bridlington Spa keep their Division One promotion bid alive after a 3-1 home derby win against Bridlington Rovers Reserves.

Josh White also notched for second-placed Spa, while Ryan Bemrose replied for the reserves.

Spa head to Sutton United this Saturday, while the reserves are at Gilberdyke Phoenix.
